AlterEgo Partner and Editor Justin Kanner took extra care when it came to creating this clips-based package for MotorTrend‘s introduction of one of his favorite shows, BBC’s Top Gear, to the network. The acquired auto-focused series debuts on MotorTrend’s linear network and app in early June.
Of course, it’s never that easy. Kanner and his Silver Spring, Md.-based team had to complete the challenge of turning around an immaculate 60-second spot over the course of just one long weekend. They spent four days pouring over show footage and mixing original talent Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, with recent show addition, Friends’ and Episodes’ Matt LeBlanc.
