It’s all cute baby animals all the time in National Geographic’s six-part original series Growing Up Animal, which starts streaming on Disney Plus on Wednesday, Aug. 18.

Black-ish’s Tracee Ellis Ross narrates the series as it follows mamas and babies through their days in the wild. Each one-hour episode looks at the birth and development of a different animal: grizzly bears, sea lions, elephants, African wild dogs, chimpanzees and lions.

The six-episode series uses technology to examine what these mothers and babies go through from pregnancy to birth to taking their first steps or swims. As each episode follows the pregnant mother’s journey, scientifically accurate in utero baby animal silicone models portray what’s happening within their mothers’ wombs.

Growing Up Animal is produced by Wall to Wall Media for National Geographic. Jeremy Dear and Dominic Weston executive produce for Wall to Wall Media, while Pamela Caragol executive produces for National Geographic. Janet Van Hissering is senior vice president of unscripted development and production.
