Amazon will premiere its latest thriller, Absentia, in the U.S. on Feb. 2, and it will also air internationally in the U.K., Australia, Austria, Germany, India, Israel, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea and Turkey.

The series stars Castle’s Stana Katic as a married FBI agent who was hot on the trail of a notorious serial killer when she went missing. She’s presumed dead for six years until she is discovered, barely alive, in a cabin in the woods. She returns home, but her husband, Nick (Patrick Heusinger) has remarried and her son barely knows her. The series also stars Angel Bonanni, Richard Brake, Ralph Ineson, Paul Freeman, Bruno Bichir and Patrick McAuley.

Amazon picked up the show for global distribution after Sony gave it a 10-episode run on its own network, AXN, where it aired in Spain, Portugal, Romania and Poland and in other markets.

The show is produced by Tel Aviv-based Masha Productions. It’s executive produced and directed by Oded Ruskin, alongside executive producers Katic, Matt Cirulnick, Julie Glucksman, and Maria Feldman.
