ABC took the opportunity of the Oscars to drop the first official full trailer for its upcoming Roseanne reboot on Tuesday, March 27.
The trailer reminds viewers of what they loved about the original series, and gives a little preview of what’s to come.
The new version of Roseanne features most of the show’s original cast, including Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke. Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki, who played the boyfriend of Darlene (Gilbert), will guest star in one episode.
Besides starring in her eponymous show, Barr also writes and executive produces, along with Tom Werner, Bruce Helford and Gilbert. That team is joined by newcomers Whitney Cummings, Wanda Sykes and Jax Media’s Tony Hernandez.
Meanwhile, ABC has created some on-the-ground activations for the show, turning New York City’s shuttle between Grand Central and Times Square into Roseanne’s iconic living room, complete with afghan seat covers and family portraits, reports Adweek. The subway campaign will run for most of March.
