No. 1 overall draft pick Brittney Griner may be getting most of the national media attention for her WNBA basketball attributes and ability to dunk, but fellow rookie Elena Delle Donne is getting the wins and the marketing deals.

Delle Donne, drafted No. 2 overall by the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, scored 22 points in her official debut to lead the Sky to a 102-80 victory over Griner’s Phoenix Mercury earlier this week. She has now unveiled deals with Nike, DuPont and vitamin and health-care company Genesis Today. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The 6’5” Delle Donne’s agent is her brother, Gene Delle Donne. Her management team also includes Bob Potter of PCA Bombo, Detroit.

The 6’8” Griner, who scored 17 points (including becoming the first WNBA player to have two dunks in one game) in the loss to Delle Donna’s Mercury, also has an endorsement deal with Nike. More deals with Griner are expected to be unveiled soon.

Griner, Delle Donne and No. 3 overall draft pick Skylar Diggins (Tulsa Shock) have been the focal point of WNBA ticket sales efforts and league-wide marketing.

“I want to thank the leadership at Nike, DuPont, and Genesis Today for their commitment to Elena and the growth of her brand on and off the court as she begins her professional career,” Gene Delle Donne said in a statement. “We look forward to building long-term relationships with each of these great companies.”
