Reality competition series “The Amazing Race” and “Survivor” both have extremely dedicated players who are prepared to do anything to win their big prize. And their viewers at home are just as devoted - “Survivor” wouldn’t be in its 28th season if they weren’t. Now, fans of both reality series can catch up with their shows on the weekends too, thanks to TVGN.
TV Guide Network, owned by CBS Corp. and Lionsgate, is starting a programming block March 1 that will encore episodes of “The Amazing Race” and “Survivor” beginning at 8 p.m on Saturdays.
“The Amazing Race” premiered its new season on CBS Feb. 23 and “Survivor” returned for its 28th season in Cagayan on Feb. 26. Each week’s episode (Sundays for “Amazing Race,” Wednesdays for “Survivor”) will be aired that Saturday night.
Brief Take: Both competition series are returning to CBS this month, so TVGN’s programming block is giving each show additional exposure while also upping the network’s value as an on-air CBS partner.
