CBS’ “The Price is Right” is going all out for social during the week of June 2-6, with a full week of fan-driven episodes that will span platforms such as Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Facebook.

“What better way to celebrate Price’s awesome fans than with our themed ‘Socially Awesome Week?” said Angelica McDaniel, CBS Daytime’s senior VP, in a statement. “There is an ongoing and evolving focus on growing our social media footprint across CBS Daytime and this innovative week of shows across multiple media platforms furthers that vision.”

Taped in April, highlights for the week include an Instagram contestant search where one of the two finalists selected to attend the taping in Los Angeles will be called to “come on down.” In addition, “Socially Awesome Week’s” final episode on June 6, titled “The You Decide Show,” will feature a full hour of content decided by the show’s Twitter fan base. As part of a week-long call to action in April, fans voted using #YouDecide on key elements of the show’s production, including prizes, games, wardrobe and even where host Drew Carey should take a “Selfie.”

“We are excited to invite our loyal and enthusiastic fans to interact and participate in our week-long event,” said Executive Producer Mike Richards, also in a statement. “Fans at home can play the games along with the contestants as they always do, but will be able to engage socially in new and different ways throughout the week.”

For the first time, “The Price is Right” will feature fan tweets on air throughout the week. Other interactive elements include live tweeting, an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience viewable via YouTube and PriceIsRight.com, as well as a Facebook chat hosted by model Rachel Reynolds.
