The second season of History’s popular series Knightfall from A+E Studios is as brutal as it seems.

Knightfall explores the medieval politics and warfare of the Knights Templar, the most powerful, wealthy and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages. The series follows the ultimate demise of the Templar Order in 1307, embracing the harsher side of the era through bloodshed and betrayal.

The season-two trailer, which debuted during the 2019 Winter Television Critics Association tour, introduces Star Wars actor Mark Hamill as Talus, a battle-hardened Knight Templar tasked with training the next generation of recruits.

In addition to Hamill, Tom Forbes and Genevieve Gaunt have also joined the cast for the newest season. Forbes will portray Prince Louis and Gaunt will portray Princess Isabella, the children of King Phillip.

Returning cast members include Ed Stoppard as King Philip IV of France, Pádraic Delaney as Gawain, Simon Merrells as Tancrede, Julian Ovenden as William DeNogaret, and Jim Carter as Pope Boniface VIII.

Knightfall comes from A+E Studios production in association with The Combine and Midnight Radio. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for the series.

Season two premieres March 25 on History.
