Pivot announced Monday that it is bringing Whole Foods’ online food and lifestyle magazine “Dark Rye” to television screens.

The Millennials-targeting cabler has set a January 22 premiere date for the new series, which will be hosted by Bay Area fisherman and forager Kirk Lombard.

Episodes will focus on issues relating to sustainability, social justice and culinary traditions.

Pivot EVP of marketing Kent Rees said Monday that the Whole Foods partnership stemmed from the network’s desire to create “customized content that truly speaks to the spirit and attitude of the next generation.”

Whole Foods began “Dark Rye” as an online magazine in 2012 that features stories, recipes and creative projects. The magazine won a James Beard Award in 2013 for Best Group Food Blog.
