National Geographic Channel teamed with Miami-based creative agency 2C Creative and Los Angeles-based design studio Kill 2 Birds to assist with its month-long campaign for Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month. Together, they created a trio of graphically-driven factoids to run across platforms, including linear, digital and online.

Each of the :60 second factoids highlight Hispanic personalities and trailblazers. The spot above showcases Latin trailblazers in the arts—Nobel-prize winning Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Costa Rican-born Mexican singer Chavela Vargas, EGOT-winning Puerto Rican actress, singer and dancer Rita Moreno and Cuban salsa singer Celia Cruz.

The two other spots focus on Latin music and past and present Latina leaders.

The pieces, which were produced both in 16:9 and 1:1 ratios for both broadcast and online use, feature a foundational color palette of blue, yellow, red and black with geographic motion graphics anchored by Nat Geo’s signature yellow rectangle.

Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.
