mun2, NBCUniversal’s cable channel that targets Hispanic millennials, is getting a programming makeover in a bid for broader distribution.

Network President Ruben Mendiola is amping up the drama and the edge, and bringing more sports programming to his audience.

Which means: Zombies!

“Maria Entre Todos Los Muertos” (Maria Between All the Dead) is “a story of love, suspense, action and terror set in a contemporary Mexican town and region” according to a mun2 release. “The drama features Maria, a young woman who awakens after a disastrous wedding day to discover that a zombie plague has over taken the land, her family has gone missing and she must fight for her own survival while searching for answers.”

Spanish-language superstar Gloria Trevi also gets her own reality series, focusing on her family and career ahead of a U.S. tour. mun2 says it’s “unfiltered, unapologetic, y toda la Trevi!”

Both NASCAR and 2016 Olympics coverage are part of a ramp-up of sports programming that also includes Premiere League soccer.

“mun2 is transforming into a high-demand, Hispanic cable network” said Mendiola. “We know there is a void in fast-paced, high-quality programming made for the Hispanic audience, and we are creating and bringing it to them across all platforms. In addition to our new, scripted series and the soon to be talked about Hispanic celebrity reality series featuring Gloria Trevi, starting in 2015, mun2 will have some of the most-watched sporting events in the world.”
