Between this summer’s TCA press tour, San Diego’s Comic-Con and Fox’s all-around intense campaign around the upcoming series “Gotham,” Batman fans have been provided with plenty of trailers and teasers to the fall show. But now, the broadcaster wants those fanboys to get in on the game themselves.

Partnering with user-generated content platform SendUs, Fox is launching a fan-made trailer contest for one of the most talked-about shows coming this fall. Fans of the show are encouraged to watch the existing “Gotham” trailer provided (below), then re-create either a piece of the video or the entire thing through live action or animation.

Participants in the contests then send their trailers or posters to Fox at fox.com/GothamContest. Finalists receive a “Gotham”-themed prize package and certain scenes will be picked to be included in a major fan trailer released by Fox.

“Our platform is helping forward-thinking media companies, like Fox, transform the traditional one-to-many broadcast model into an interactive ‘conversation’ with the audience,” said Nick Namikas, Co-CEO of SendUs. “In order to be successful in a rapidly-evolving multiscreen and social media world, media companies must continuously engage their audience and harness the incredibly valuable, authentic media they create on a daily basis – SendUs is enabling them to meet this challenge.”

The contest runs through Aug. 20, and the winning trailer will be announced a week later with the spot itself running on Fox. The winner will also receive a free trip to the “Gotham” world premiere party in New York.

“Gotham” will debut on Fox Monday, Sept. 22.
