FX CEO John Landgraf will keynote PromaxBDA: The Conference taking place June 14-16 at the New York Midtown Hilton in New York City. Landgraf will be joined on stage by actor and comedian Denis Leary, creator, executive producer and star of FX’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, which returns to FX on June 30. Leary also created, executive produced and starred in FX’s Rescue Me, which ran on the cable network for seven seasons, from 2004-11.
According to his bio, Leary “is a five-time loser at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ annual Emmy Awards. He has lost in both the drama and comedy categories. In leading and supporting roles. Not to mention writing. Leary hopes to one day be nominated for — and more than likely not win — an Oscar, a Grammy and a Tony Award. In his long and storied entertainment career, Leary has also never won The Stanley Cup, The Nobel Peace Prize or an argument with his wife.”
Landgraf and Leary join a line-up that includes filmmaker Kevin Smith, Defy Media’s Andy Signore, Twitch CEO Emmett Shear, Revolt CEO Keith Clinkscales, Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott, Propagate CEO Ben Silverman and many more.
