Season three may have ended on an euphoric note with the ladies Litchfield enjoying an impromptu swim, but dark days are ahead as the prisons gets more cramped and tension rises.

Netflix released a new season four trailer that shows 100 more women moving into the already tight quarters as it transitions to a for-profit prison with an influx of inexperienced guards.

“Pain is always there, but suffering is a choice,” Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) says in the trailer.

Season four delves into racial and economic tensions that lead to an unprecedented culture war, with hints at what’s to come for many of the characters.

Piper (Taylor Schilling) is “starting to feel unsafe lately,” and comes face to face with Maria Ruiz (Jessica Pimentel) who promises, “I’m going to bury you.”

There are also clues about the fate of Alex Vause (Laura Prepon), whose voice is heard uttering the line “Can you keep a secret?” to Red (Kate Mulgrew). Sophia (Laverne Cox) is also shown still in solitary confinement.

Season four of Orange is the New Black premieres June 17 on Netflix. It has been renewed through season seven.
