Kevin Hart will once again go undercover as Lyft driver Donald Mac, surprising unsuspecting passengers for the branded content series Lyft Legend on Lionsgate’s Laugh Out Loud digital network founded by Hart.
Season two of the series will also feature guest Wanda Sykes, according to the trailer. The return of the show, sponsored by the rideshare company, was revealed as part of Laugh Out Loud’s summer programming slate that also includes sophomore seasons of stand-up series Just for Laughs and Cold as Balls, sponsored by Old Spice, where athletes are interviewed in an ice bath.
“The massive success of Cold as Balls and Lyft Legend proves how hungry audiences are for bold, hilarious new show formats,” Hart said in a statement.
Lyft Legend has reached more than 50 million views across Laugh Out Loud’s network and created more than 1.4M social engagements.
Other programs coming to the network this summer includes In the Zone, a comedic companion to Hart’s CBS series TKO, and the prank show Rahat’s Terror Traps, starring Youtube prank king Rahat Hossian, Unmasked, a mockumentary comedy about the bizarre world of costumed street performers and a strange series of murders, and Donors, described as Silicon Valley meets Broad City.
“Laugh Out Loud is dedicated to elevating comedy with original ideas and shining a light on emerging comedians,” Hart said. “I can’t wait for audiences to check out this dope slate of shows we’re unveiling this summer.”
