DirecTV Stream is back with its genre-merging “Get Your TV Together” campaign, created by TBWA/Chiat/Day Los Angeles and produced by O Positive, just in time for baseball season. In the campaign’s most recent spot, four MLB all-time greats – Alex Rodriguez, David Ortiz, Ken Griffey Jr. and Randy Johnson – as the Ghostbusters, er, GOATbusters.

The spot is the latest in a campaign that has also merged tennis legend Serena Williams with Wonder Woman and also with The Matrix.

The premise is that with DirecTV Stream, viewers can switch easily back and forth between live sports – in this case, baseball – and on-demand programming, such as a movie. In the spot, the wife shows the husband how she can flip back and forth between a Cincinnati Reds game and the movie Ghostbusters until a giant and threatening version of the Reds’ mascot appears on the screen.

But not to worry, it’s the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) busters to the rescue! Arriving in an exact replica of the Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1 ambulance, the team takes down the lumbering mascot with their proton packs in the form of baseball bats. The promo concludes by offering viewers $30 off DirecTV Stream for the first three months they subscribe. DirecTV Stream, which is a multi-channel streaming video service that runs on Android-based set-top boxes, costs between $70 and $140 per month, depending on the package.

DirecTV started running the promo during the Los Angeles Dodgers-San Diego Padres game on Major League Baseball network.
