In a throwback to Joan Cusack’s great scene from Broadcast News, a production assistant makes her way through the Warner Bros. lot to the Friends set with Easter eggs from that show and others popping up along the way in the above spot for CNN’s series History of the Sitcom.
CNN worked with frequent agency partner Roger with help from Warner Bros., which provided authentic sets—including the fountain and the coffee house—and props from the archives from such shows as Friends, Seinfeld, Murphy Brown and more. Music agency Syn provides the synced-up score.
See how many Easter eggs you can catch as you watch. CNN’s History of the Sitcom airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
