Prior to the launch of Disney’s latest feature film, Jungle Cruise, based off of a popular Disneyland ride, star Dwayne Johnson and his production team partnered to take fans behind the scenes of their favorite Disney attractions, including “Jungle Cruise,” “It’s a Small World,” “Haunted Mansion,” “Space Mountain,” and one of the newer additions, “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.”

The 10-episode series taps into archival and never-before-seen footage to tell the stories of the different attractions as well as reveal how technology has allowed them to advance over the years.

Disney Plus worked with Miami-based 2C 2.0 to produce the trailer, and with Criminal Minds star Paget Brewster to provide some cheeky narration.

“The script writing and narration on this series is wonderfully refreshing,” said Cheryl King, creative director at 2C, in a statement. “It’s fast, fun, witty and sometimes, even a little self-deprecating. My favorite part of this experience was having the opportunity to write the trailer script in that same style and voice.”

The trailer also includes fun retro graphics paired with all of that archival footage.

“I don’t know a single person who isn’t fascinated by the worlds Walt Disney and his team of Imagineers created,” said King. “This series goes beyond the magical veil and reveals the who, what, when, where, why and how behind the attractions we all know and love.”

Behind the Attraction is executive produced by Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Brian Gewirtz and Kevin Hill from Seven Bucks Productions, and Brian Volk-Weiss, Robin Henry and Cisco Henson from The Nacelle Company. Volk-Weiss directs.

The first five episodes premiere Wednesday, July 21 on Disney Plus with the last five episodes coming later this year. Jungle Cruise, starring Johnson and Emily Blunt, opens Friday, July 30 in theaters and on Disney Plus’ premium tier.
