Jordan Peele (Get Out) will be “traveling through another dimension; a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind,” as host and narrator of CBS All Access’ reboot of The Twilight Zone.

In CBS’ spot announcing Peele’s role, his voice is intertwined with that of Rod Serling, creator and narrator of the original science fiction series that ran from 1959 to 1964, in a new version of the iconic opening to the show.

Serling was known for his conscious storytelling to explore the human condition and culture of the times, which Peele said he hopes to continue.

“Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours,” said Peele in a statement. “I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone.”

The revival is slated for 2019, and produced with Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Peele and Kinberg serve as executive producers along with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Carol Serling, Rick Berg, and Greg Yaitanes.
