AMC’s new dark comedy Kevin Can F**k Himself, starring Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy takes the idea that marriage is never the American sitcom version we all grew up with and runs away with it.

In the eight-episode first season, Allison McRoberts (Murphy) has been playing the prototypical sitcom wife throughout her decade-long marriage. But one day she realizes she can’t take it anymore and starts pondering what her life would look like if her husband Kevin (Eric Petersen) weren’t in it.

The series also stars Mary Hollis Inboden as Allison’s equally dissatisfied neighbor and friend, Alex Bonifer as Kevin’s best friend Neil, Brian Howe as Kevin’s sexist father and Raymond Kee as Sam Park, one of Allison’s exes.

The show is created by Valerie Armstrong (Lodge 49, SEAL Team) and executive produced by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack through production company Le Train Train (Claws, A to Z). Craig DiGregorio (Shrill) serves as showrunner and executive producer.

Kevin Can F**k Himself premieres with the first two one-hour episodes on AMC+ on Sunday, June 13 and on AMC on Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with that pattern continuing throughout the series’ run.
