Starting Sunday, October 16 at 7 a.m., viewers can tune it to season one and the first half of season two, followed by a two-hour retrospective (which will include spoilers from the second half of season two). AMC will then air the remaining episodes each night starting at 6 p.m., ending with the season six cliffhanger finale before the season seven premiere on October 23 at 9 p.m.

The marathon is part of AMC’s Fearfest, now in its 20th year, which features iconic horror films such as Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Exorcist.

Running from October 13 - 31, the programming event actually served as a catalyst for the AMC greenlighting The Walking Dead in the first place, when AMC President Charlie Collier OK’d the series after seeing viewers’ thirst for horror, Variety reports.
