AMC Networks said Friday that Gregg Seibert has been named to the newly created role of vice chairman.
Seibert will work with AMC Networks senior management team to provide strategic and financial advice on corporate strategy and business initiatives.
“Gregg is an expert strategist with a keen understanding of the media industry, making him a valuable resource for AMC Networks senior management,” said AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan on Friday. “Gregg has more than 25 years of experience executing complex strategic and financial transactions and we look forward to benefiting from his insights on strategic matters as we continue to focus on building shareholder value.”
AMC Networks is controlled by the Dolan family, which also controls Cablevision and The Madison Square Garden Company. Seibert was also named a vice chairman of The Madison Square Garden Co. on Friday. He will also continue his role as Vice Chairman of Cablevision.
Before joining Cablevision in 2009, he served as vice chairman, head of corporate finance, and head of global media at Merrill Lynch.
