Los Angeles-based studio Yu+Co designed a colorful animated open for Hulu’s musical comedy, Up Here, with songs written by Frozen’s dynamic duo and EGOT winners Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

The main-title sequence is scored to the show’s theme song, “Can I Ever Know You?,” penned by the Lopezes and performed by the show’s cast.

Set in 1999 and inspired by Aimee Mann, Fiona Apple and even a little bit of Billy Joel, Up Here is a love story between two people who are trying to find their way to each other through the many and varied voices in their heads – all of whom are played by real people in this series.

Up Here stars Mae Whitman, Carlos Valdes, Katie Finneran, Sophia Hammons, Emilia Suarez, Andrea Burns, John Hodgman and Scott Porter.

It’s written by Tony-winner Steven Levenson (Dear Evan Hansen, tick, tick … BOOM!) and Danielle Sanchez-Witzel (The Carmichael Show). Tony-winning director Tommy Kail (Hamilton) directs. Jennifer Todd produces. 20th Television is the production company alongside Kail’s Old 320 Sycamore Productions.

All eight episodes of season 1 of Up Here are available to stream on Hulu. Below is the official trailer.
