“We now live in a universe split down the middle,” in Showtime’s drama about power politics in the world of New York high finance.

The series stars Paul Giamatti as shrewd and savvy U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades and Damian Lewis as brilliant and ambitious hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, as the two use their smarts, power and influence to outmaneuver the other.

Season four continues the show’s themes of ambition and betrayal. Everyone is out for revenge as former enemies have come together to form an uneasy but highly effective alliance. With Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) they are focused on the eradication of their rivals, including Grigor Andolov (guest star John Malkovich), Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon), Brian Connerty (Toby Leonard Moore) and Waylon “Jock” Jeffcoat (guest star Clancy Brown).

The series also stars David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Kelly AuCoin, Jeffrey DeMunn and Malin Akerman, along with new guest stars Samantha Mathis, Kevin Pollak, Jade Eshete and Nina Arianda.

It’s created and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The series was also created by Andrew Ross Sorkin.

Billions premieres March 17 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
