​Yahoo! is taking a new approach in its logo redesign, using a promotional video and a month-long campaign to find its new logo, announced officially in September.

Keeping its color scheme the same, Yahoo! released the logo below as the first of 30 options. And no matter what you think of the new look, the way they’re choosing to market the whole thing is what is at play here.


Brief Take: Yahoo! will roll out one logo each day for 30 days, announcing its final choice in September. How they will come to this decision is a mystery, and the video above doesn’t clear things up. It could be that these logos were all submitted and one will be chosen, or perhaps one already was. But one thing is for sure: love it or hate it, you’re paying attention.
