If you’re a grinch whose heart is several sizes too small, then perhaps you’re looking for something other to watch this festive season besides holiday romances and nostalgic animated specials.

Even though December is stuffed full of Christmas movies, there are still plenty of other programs premiering, including season two of Apple TV Plus’ spy thriller Slow Horses, the third and final season of HBO’s His Dark Materials, FX’s adaptation of Octavia Butler’s best-seller, Kindred and Yellowstone prequel 1923 starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford.

Don’t worry if you’d rather watch renegade spies flushing out Russian terror cells than young couples falling in love in small-town America at Christmas – we won’t tell.
