After Comic-Con, comes the shows.
In the wake of the return to an in-person fan fest in San Diego, networks and streamers are prepping the premieres of some of their high-action entries, such as HBO’s much-anticipated follow-up to Game of Thrones – House of the Dragon; AMC’s zombie anthology series, Tales of the Walking Dead; Disney Plus’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law; and Disney Plus’ Andor. And coming right on their heels is Prime Video’s hugely expensive Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, opening on September 2.
The month also sees the premieres of some smaller but potentially exciting series, such as Prime Video’s reimagining of A League of Their Own on August 12 as well as Hulu’s The Fool, based on the comedy of Chris Estrada, also on August 12.
August kicks off with the return of FX’s highly praised comedy Reservation Dogs and closes out with Andor on August 31.
