Warner Bros. Discovery’s rebranded streaming service, Max, which incorporates HBO Max and Discovery Plus, launches May 23. The above trailer reveals the breadth of the service’s programming, including such series and movies as Insecure, Succession, Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Abbott Elementary, Hacks, Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, Deadliest Catch, Harry Potter, the Matrix trilogy and sequel, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Hobbit prequels, A Star is Born, Blade Runner 2049, The Flash and other DC universe movies and series, and much more.
It also includes content from such brands as HGTV, Food Network, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, ID and more. According to WBD, the service will be constantly updated with fresh content, with more than 40 new titles and seasons added to the service each month.
Some of the new series coming to the service at launch are SmartLess: On the Road, featuring Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes as they take their podcast of the same title on tour; How to Create a Sex Scandal; What Am I Eating with Zooey Deschanel; Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai; Clone High; documentaries Bama Rush and Being Mary Tyler Moore, and the streaming premiere of DC universe movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
