WarnerMedia CMO Chris Spadaccini is the latest casualty in the broad wave of executive and staff layoffs taking place across the media conglomerate, Deadline reported Tuesday.

The two-decade HBO veteran oversaw campaigns for such blockbusters as this year’s Watchmen and Succession as well as Game of Thrones, Veep and The Sopranos, all of which have been dominant at the Emmys. On Sunday night, this year’s most-nominated show, Watchmen, was named outstanding limited series, while Succession was named outstanding drama. During its eight-season run, Game of Thrones won the most Emmys of any drama series in history with 38.

My 21 years at HBO have been nothing short of an extraordinary experience,” Spadaccini told Deadline. “It has been an honor and a privilege to lead a marketing team that consistently sets the standard for excellence across the industry. I am filled with enormous gratitude for the opportunity to have supported the vision of some of the world’s greatest storytellers and to have shaped the image of the HBO brand, which continues to be the gold standard in television.”

Spadaccini’s departure comes as WarnerMedia’s new CEO, Jason Kilar, formerly of Hulu, continues to make changes across the organization.
