For this main-title sequence for Netflix’s creepy hit, The Haunting of Hill House, Los Angeles-based creative agency Filmograph designed marble statues with a horrifying twist, before leading viewers into a maze.
Both the statues and the maze are metaphors for “the family’s imprisonment, and their attempt to break free from a painful past they seem never to fully escape,” according to Filmograph.
This marks the agency’s third collaboration with director Mike Flanagan.
The Haunting of Hill House is currently available on Netflix.
