NFL and USA Network announced Thursday that they were expanding their annual “NFL Characters Unite” public service campaign with new, weekly on-air vignettes and webisodes featuring players talking about their own bouts with bullying and discrimination.

The series premieres Dec. 2 with Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb mentoring a teen struggling with pressure to commit crime and use drugs.

“By sharing the profound stories of NFL players, we hope to inspire viewers to find the same strength and determination to combat hate and discrimination in their own lives and communities,” said Toby Graff, USA’s SVP of public affairs.

The series culminates with a one-hour documentary airing on USA during Super Bowl weekend, narrated by Emmy-winning sportscaster Cris Collinsworth.

Other players taking part this year include Victor Cruz, Mark Herzlich, Nick Mangold, Ray Rice, Charles Tillman, J.J. Watt, and Dez Bryant.
