Apple TV+ returns with season two of For All Mankind, which wonders what would have happened had the global space race never ended. In the series from Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander), astronauts, engineers and their families are constantly in the center of extraordinary events in an alternate history in which the USSR beat the US to the moon.

Season two picks up in 1983, a decade after the end of season one. Ronald Reagan is president and it’s the height of the Cold War, only in this timeline the Americans are going head to head with the Soviets over control of lunar resources. The Department of Defense has moved into NASA’s Mission Control and NASA has become militarized. The result is a conflict that could lead to man’s ultimate fear: nuclear war and the destruction of the world.

For All Mankind stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt, Jodi Balfour, Krys Marshall and Sonya Walger with Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña and Casey W. Johnson joining the cast in season two.

Moore created the series with Ben Nedivi and Matt Wolpert, with all three executive producing alongside Maril Davis of Tall Ship Productions. Sony Pictures Television produces the series.

The ten-episode second season premieres on Apple TV+ on February 19, 2021, with one episode dropping each Friday.
