The definition of TV ratings is steadily expanding. The UK’s TV ratings body, Barb, plans to start measuring online catch-up ratings as well as on-air.

This marks the first time Barb has measured any online ratings including anything streaming on computers, tablets and smartphones. Barb will also release a TV player report by the end of the year, detailing analytics from its new measurement system.
