DIRECTV-owned Sky Brazil realized that their Twitter followers were using the space to find about the content of TV shows they missed rather than learn about Sky’s programming features. They took advantage of this by creating a system of recording shows on the go through a simple hash tag.

AgenciaClick Isobar worked with the satellite provider for a hash tag that functions as a record button would on your remote at home. Sky Brazil customers only have to register their Twitter handles, then when they see @skybrasil tweet about a show they might want to record, they retweet it along with the hash tag #skyrec, which lets Sky automatically record that on the user’s device.

It is in a test phase now, but has great potential in eliminating reminder lists and helping recover forgotten programming.
