Comedy Central has been taking its brand to fans through experiential and immersive experiences such as Comic-Con and SXSW since 2014. At this June’s second annual Clusterfest in San Francisco, the network is taking that immersion up a notch.

Clusterfest — which is backed by Comedy Central, Superfly, the company behind Bonnaroo and other major events, and Another Planet Entertainment — will predominantly be a comedy festival, featuring the likes of Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer, Trevor Noah, John Mulaney, Michael Che and many more. It’s not meant to specifically serve as a brand vehicle for Comedy Central, other than to promote people’s enjoyment of comedy. However, part of the weekend’s festivities will allow fans to get closer to several TV shows they love, and not all of those shows air on Comedy Central.

Animated veteran South Park and political satire The Daily Show both will showcase activations on the ground, along with FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Netflix’s Arrested Development and Nicksplat Double Dare presented by Mountain Dew Kickstart.

South Park fans can “come on down to Clusterfest and have themselves a time” in a nod to the show’s theme song. They can also visit the County Fair where they can play carnival games infused with a South Park twist, such as Member Berries See Ball, Cupid Me Couples Archery, Randy and Friends Roller Balls, Lemmiwinks: Beat the Buzzer, Kick the Baby and Fishin’ for Water Bears.

Political junkies can pay a visit to the The Daily Show Presents: The Donald J. Trump Presidential Twitter Library, which keeps growing every day courtesy of our prolifically tweeting president. The library, which includes several exhibits, already has visited New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles and San Francisco will be its latest stop.

Fans of FXX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia can take selfies at Paddy’s Pub, the so-called “worst bar in Philadelphia,” and enjoy such delicacies as Bagged Spaghetti with Medicine Balls, Vitamin Balls with Rat Trap Cheese, the Wurst Pretzel, Tachos, Alley Almonds and Dill Pickles.

Arrested Development aficionados can either grab a chocolate- or peanut-butter covered banana from a replica of the show’s famed Banana Stand, hop on the Bluth family Stair Mobile for a selfie. The truly dedicated can watch a screening of a classic episode and a panel session, followed by a parade through the festival grounds. Netflix is re-releasing a re-edited version of season four of Arrested Development on May 4.

Finally, Mtn Dew Kickstart is sponsoring NickSplat’s return to nostalgia and giving attendees the chance to race through iconic Double Dare challenges, which will culminate in a one-hour live Double Dare show on June 3 hosted by Marc Summers.

Tickets for the festival, to be held June 1-3 at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza, and the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium are available at www.clusterfest.com.
