TV Land is going for a younger crowd, according to its three newest series it announced this week.

Younger stars Sutton Foster as a 40-year-old woman trying to get back into the job market but finds she might be too old for some employers. So in order to market herself more effectively, and perhaps have some fun while doing so, she decides to sell herself as a 20-something instead. The project is based on a novel by Pamela Redmond Satran and the 12-episode series, also starring Hilary Duff, will premiere in January 2015.

Next, Teachers utilizes the talents of The Katydids, an improv group who will all play educators in TV Land’s new comedy about unenthusiastic and sometimes jaded teachers at an elementary school.

“Sometimes Prince Charming wants to date other people,” one such teacher tells her class, explaining why she refuses to read fairy tales at story time. Teachers will premiere sometime next year. Community’s Alison Brie serves as executive producer.

Impastor is a 10-episode series set in a small town where a newcomer hides out in plain sight by pretending to be the congregation’s new gay pastor. The show stars Smallville’s Michael Rosenbaum, Sara Rue and Aimee Garcia.

The three new comedy pilots, along with the semi-autobiographical Gaffigan Show, join a popular lineup at TV Land of Betty White’s Hot in Cleveland, The Exes and The Soul Man, all skewing slightly older than the newly ordered series. While the existing sitcoms tend to do well with adults 25-54, Younger’s Hilary Duff and an improv group’s Web series point to a network trying to lure a possibly younger audience.
