Sure, February is considered the heart of awards season on TV, so there’s plenty to find on the Sunday night lineup throughout the month, but that’s certainly not all television has to offer.
First, there’s the Super Bowl to kick off the month on Feb. 1 (along with the Puppy Bowl, Kitten Bowl, etc.) before Sunday after Sunday of special events. The Grammys air on CBS Feb. 8 and ABC’s Academy Awards on Feb. 22, but between that is also SNL’s 40th anniversary special Feb. 15 on NBC.
And, of course, the long-awaited prequel Better Call Saul makes its debut Feb. 8-9 on AMC along with The Walking Dead’s midseason premiere. Netflix and Amazon enter the premiere race this month as well with Bosch and the third season of House of Cards.
Lastly, with an emotional goodbye, Parks and Recreation takes its bow on Feb. 24. Leslie Knope, Ron Swanson, Andy Dwyer and crew: we will miss you all.
