TV brands are ramping up for South by Southwest (SXSW), which takes place March 9-17 in Austin, Texas.

ABC is bringing a bit of Lanford, Ill., to Austin, with the ultimate Roseanne experience being held Saturday, March 10, through Monday, March 12, at Volcom Garden.
Visitors can grab a bite at the Lanford Lunch Box, which will be offering loose meat sandwiches, pie, coffee and Canoga root beer served up in collectible koozies all weekend long. After lunch, people can take selfies of themselves on Roseanne’s iconic couch and post the resulting GIFs across social media. Swag will include t-shirts with classic quotes emblazoned on them or custom screen-printed needlework totes.
Both original and mew cast members Lecy Goranson, Michael FIshman and Emma Kenny will be on hand Saturday and Sunday for meet and greets, a few rounds of trivia and handouts of more swag, including afghans, collectible pin sets and hoodies.
After all that, attendees can take a customized sofa pedi cab across downtown Austin to their next appointment.
Roseanne — starring Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and much of the original cast — returns to ABC on Tuesday, March 27.
Fox Sports Gears Up for 2018 World Cup in Moscow
Fox Sports will be promoting its upcoming coverage of soccer’s World Cup in Moscow, hosting the Fox Sports House at 318 Colorado Street from March 9-12. Celebrities who will be on hand during the weekend include MasterChef and Hell’s Kitchen’s Gordon Ramsay and Fox Sports’ Alexei Lalas.
On Friday, March 9, the house will be home to the SXSW Sports Kickoff Party fro 7 to 10 p.m., where guests can enjoy — what else? — Moscow Mules, as well as get temporary tattoos, take interactive photos, groove to live music and enjoy tacos.
The house also will offer several panels related to the World Cup during the weekend.
On Saturday, March 10, Fox Sports host Rachel Bonnetta and CAA-GBG Chief Digital Officer Kendra Bracken-Ferguson will discuss their take on social media at 11:30 a.m.
At 4 p.m., Fox Soccer Analyst Stu Holden will moderate a season with Twitter VP and Global Head of Content Partnerships Kay Madati and Fox Sports EVP, Technology Devon Poolman about the necessity and challenges of creating cross-platform content.
On Sunday, March 11, Fox Sports Studio Host Rob Stone will host Fox Sports Films Executive Producer Gabe Spitzer for a behind-the-scenes discussion of documentary film Nossa Chape, a SXSW 2018 selection that chronicles the tragic plane crash of Brazilian soccer club Chapecoense in 2016. The film is the third in Fox Sports new film series, Magnify, which looks at cultural stories through the lens of sports.
Also on Sunday, Fox Sports will take a break from the house and head to the JW Marriott for a 3:30 p.m. panel moderated by Lalas and joined by David Neal, executive producer, Fifa Wold Cup on Fox Sports, and Aaron Maines, Adidas director of sports marketing. The panel will discuss the 360-degree approach Fox Sports is taking on production of the massive sporting event this summer.
And finally, it’s back to the house on Sunday night for the launch event of soccer-focused docuseries Phenoms at 8 p.m. Executive producers Mario Melchiot and David Worthen will join a panel to discuss the series and soccer’s rising stars.
