TV 2 Denmark was again honored as Promax Europe Creative Marketing Team of the Year at the global entertainment marketing association’s virtual awards show on Thursday. Spain’s Tricefalo is Promax Europe Agency of the Year.

TV 2 Denmark also was named Promax Europe Creative Marketing Team of the Year in 2021 and 2020. The Danish public broadcaster, the marketing team of which is led by Jacob Weinreich, won several Promax Europe gold and silver awards this year with its public service spots, such as the one below, which won gold for Best Brand Spot:

Stop Hate Messages, TV 2 Denmark

Besides TV 2 Denmark, finalists for the 2022 Promax Europe Creative Marketing Team of the Year were AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe; Netflix Creative Studio; Netflix Italy; The Walt Disney Company Europe and Africa; and ViacomCBS Creative EMEAA.

Although Tricefalo prevailed, finalists for Agency of the Year were Collage, Movement, New Land, Publicis Italy and White Bat.

Other big winners were The Walt Disney Company Europe and Africa, which won gold for General Brand Campaign and silver for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign for a channel, network or platform for its “Fox the Scroll’ campaign for Fox Portugal:

TV 2 Denmark won silver in this category for “Stop Hate Messages.” TV 2 Denmark also won gold and silver in such categories as social responsibility announcement spot, online streaming service spot, special event brand spot and more.

Eurosport won gold for General Brand Design Package: Channel, Network or Platform for its 2020 Tokyo Olympics package, which is showcased below:

To determine the winners in the Promax Europe competition, two rounds of judging are held. The first round is conducted online, while the second is held with jury members meeting virtually.

The first round includes a diverse line up of industry judges from the entertainment marketing industry. Each entry is evaluated and scored based on overall creativity, originality of concept and message effectiveness. The first round of judging determines the finalists.

The top finalists in each category then advance to the final round for jury consideration. A jury of industry professionals deliberate over the finalist entries and decide the gold and silver winners.

This year’s jury was composed of Alexandra de Tournemire, marketing and communication director, SoWhen? – The Createch Company; Lewis Fennell, head of productions and operations, Zealot UK; Oana Galloway, creative lead, Netflix Netherlands; Niklas Gunnarsson, account director, Brokendoll AB; Jennifer Lawlor, senior vice president, DreamWorks, NBC Universal; Eugenia Martinez Barbazza, acting head of brand, Viaplay Group; Sasan Roohi, creative director, The Walt Disney Company; Antoine Tinguely, founder, Ramon + Pedro; Dessislava Topalova, marketing manager, TV channels, Nova Broadcasting Group and Jacob Weinreich, chief marketing officer, TV 2 Denmark.

Once winners are finalized and confirmed by the Promax awards team, each winning entry is assigned points, with gold winners earning three points and silver two points. The Creative Marketing Team and Agency of the Year winners are decided by the final tally of points.

Promax will hold its next awards show in person in Miami for the 2022 Latin America Awards on Thursday, September 15 at Esotico Miami. The association is also in progress on judging for its 2022 Global Excellence Awards, which will be announced later this year.
