Turner Sports, the National Football League, MSG Media, NASCAR, NFL Network and the Atlanta Falcons all were named Titanium award winners at PromaxBDA’s annual Sports Media Marketing Awards, held at Capitale in New York City on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Steve Rannazzisi, star of FXX’s “The League” hosted the gala event.
The night’s special honorees included ESPN Executive Chairman George Bodenheimer, who received the Lifetime Innovator Award for his long-term contribution as a creative leader in the field of sports marketing. Red Bull Media House received the Game Changer Award for being a cultural innovator as a brand marketer, production house and digital distributor. Scott Bradfield, Red Bull’s head of production and development, accepted on behalf of the production company.
“The sports marketing community consistently creates innovative campaigns that entertain and engage audiences and fans,” said Jonathan Block-Verk, president and CEO of PromaxBDA International. “This night is an occasion to honor their efforts by showcasing the best work out there, demonstrating the unique role that marketing plays in this specialized field of media.”
