The Impractical Jokers are reaching new heights with their 100th episode - taking their pranks tot he high wire, to be precise.

The Impractical Jokers LIVE Punishment Special is set for Thursday, Sept. 3 at New York’s South Street Seaport, hosted by Howie Mandel.

During the live special, all four Jokers (Q, Murr, Joe and Sal) will attempt to walk the longest distance on a high-wire five stories above New York City streets.

“While Impractical Jokers has been rich in embarrassments for four lifelong friends, we’re thrilled to have an embarrassment of riches in the form of our many passionate partners working with us on this epic milestone,” said Puja Vohra, SVP of marketing and digital at truTV in a statement. “We knew it would take more than traditional methods to elevate this special event above and beyond even the dizzying five stories that the guys are walking, so we built our plan one promotion and one partner at a time, utilizing each one’s strengths, expertise and platforms to help us entice viewers to tune-in live.”

Leading up to the big event this week, truTV has unveiled several of its marketing partners for the live event, including FanDuel, Verizon, NYC & Company, Millennium Hilton, Geico, iHeartMedia, Twitter and Periscope.

Geico has been sponsoring truTV’s Impractical Jokers: FAN-Tastic Countdown, a weekly social roundup of fans’ favorite moments from the show’s four seasons so far. A 30-minute special with some of the top favorites will air Sept. 2. Geico is also presenting a hashtag contest for fans to “save” one of the Jokers from having to walk the tightrope first, using #SaveJoe or #SaveSal, for example.

On Periscope, truTV will be promoting its “Under the Wire” campaign, which takes advantage of the network, the cast and host Howie Mandel to drive tune-in the night of the big event.

The truTV social team will be using WhipClip to create short clips and Twitter’s Snappy TV to create instant clips and highlights of the Thursday night event and driving content to Twitter. The network is also working with House Party, a platform that helps fans plan the perfect viewing party, to create and promote 150 influencers’ Impractical Jokers LIVE viewing parties.

Fantasy sports site FanDuel is helping the Jokers raise money for their favorite charities leading up the event. NYC & Company, New York’s tourism organization, is providing social and media support for the big event.
