When Trevor Noah takes over as host of The Daily Show on Sept. 28, he’ll have some pretty good company helping him along.

Comedy Central announced his first week’s guest lineup Wednesday, which kicks things off with comedian Kevin Hart on Monday, Sept. 28. Noah then interviews Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe on Tuesday, New Jersey Governor and presidential candidate Chris Christie on Wednesday and Ryan Adams on Thursday, who just completed his cover album for Taylor Swift’s 1989 and will perform on the show.

In recent interviews, Noah has expressed his growing nerves about his hosting debut.

He told Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly on The Today Show he is slightly panicking but does look forward to covering the election. “Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina – these are all gifts. I couldn’t ask for more,” he said. “Every time Donald Trump has spoken, I go ‘Why are we not on the air?’”

On the topic of diversity in late-night (or lack thereof), Noah said he had hope that things are slowly changing. “I think the landscape is going to continue to evolve day to day,” he said. “I mean if you look at that picture even three years ago, it wouldn’t have included any people of color.”

The very first episode of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will premiere on air Monday, Sept. 28, but will be available to stream on the show’s website and the Comedy Central app.

Brief Take: Noah’s hosting debut will ignite a competitive late-night landscape, growing stronger this year with the addition of Stephen Colbert at CBS.
