Engine Group’s content creation and entertainment marketing agency Trailer Park has launched a new strategy division called Marquee that is meant to expand the company’s insight and advisory services.

The unit will tap into a national panel of cutting-edge media consumers and leaders who will function like an advisory board. Their insights, combined with consumer research and behavioral data, will expand Trailer Park’s capability to provide entertainment clients with “creative, campaign optimization and intelligence around platform monetization,” said the agency in a statement.

It will be led by Jake Katz, senior vice president of strategy. With a strong background in strategy, marketing and insights—especially around generational behavior—he joined Trailer Park last year from Revolt, where he was vice president of audience insights and strategy.

“This golden age of video has pulled players across the media landscape into original content, and we are already working across them to provide strategy in how entertainment momentum is built in this attention economy,” Katz said in a statement. “Marquee has been staffed with talent that can provide entertainment partners strategy in the three areas that matter most today—brand, digital and culture.”

The division brought on Awesomeness TV’s Cristina Lucero as director of trends research to lead Marquee’s advisory panel, as well as develop consumer intelligence around the future of entertainment and emerging best practices in how content should go to market.

And Peterson Berg joined Marquee from Fullscreen Media to provide social and digital strategy to Trailer Park’s media and entertainment clients in the position of multi-platform strategist.

They will work with Katz and Ashleigh Edwards, the team’s brand strategy lead, as Marquee expands across the agency’s client roster.

“The content landscape is changing and we are living in an era of more questions than answers,” said Rick Eiserman, North American CEO of Engine Group, in a statement. “Changing consumer behaviors are disrupting known best practices in how content goes to market. Under Jake’s leadership, Marquee will provide clients necessary consumer intelligence and strategic counsel around emerging best practices in the future of entertainment.”
