To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, TBS, TNT and truTV created a multiplatform campaign that kicked off March 1. The campaign features five animated shorts, each promoting women’s equality and bringing awareness to issues facing women, particularly in the aftermath of 2020 and the pandemic.

Leaning into IWD’s 2021 official theme of #ChooseToChallenge, and powered by an all-female crew both internally and externally, TBS, TNT and truTV partnered with two female-owned firms to produce the spots: Nashville-based Dace & Mohr and Black-woman-owned BWA Studios (which stands for Black Women Animate) to produce a series of animations narrated by women who star on each of the three networks, including Samantha Bee and Jameela Jamil.

On March 8, these pieces will run throughout IWD-themed programming blocks on each network. They’ll also be pushed out on the social handles of the networks, shows and talent, inviting followers to strike the official IWD’s Choose to Challenge pose and share on social media.
