Nancy Daniels is returning to TLC as general manager.
Daniels replaces Amy Winter, who stepped down last month but will continue working for TLC as EVP of brand marketing.
Daniels previously was the GM of Discovery Fit & Health, a TLC sister network. She also served as Discovery Channel’s EVP of production and development. Daniels will oversee production, development and marketing for TLC and will report to Eileen O’Neill, group president of Discovery and TLC Networks.
O’Neill said Daniels’ previous work with TLC, the Discovery Channel and Discovery Fit & Health makes her the appropriate candidate for the position.
“Nancy is a talented creative executive, a motivating team leader, and a risk-taking problem solver, with a track record of success that makes her a perfect fit to lead the TLC brand forward,” O’Neill said in a statement.
Before her work with Discovery Channel, Daniels was SVP of production and development at TLC. Daniels oversaw the launch of series like “Sister Wives,” “The Little Couple” and “Cake Boss.”
