What happens when two cousins discover a time-traveling bong that breaks, sending them bouncing around the space time continuum to various time periods in their attempt to return home?

That question will be answered in full on April 20, when Comedy Central’s three-part stoner miniseries premieres.

Time Traveling Bong comes from the minds of Broad City’s Ilana Glazer and Paul W. Downs, who star as Sharee and Jeff, two cousins living together in a New Jersey condo left to them by their grandmother.

Their mundane lives take an exciting turn when they find a bong that doubles as a time machine, and are transported through history. They experience events like the Salem, Mass. witch trials, the segregated South in the 1960s, ancient Green and a dystopian future, while learning along the way that to appreciate that there’s no time like the present.

“Wait, is this a real show?” asks Las Vegas Weekly.

Yes. It’s just as real as Hot Tub Time Machine, and much better than Hot Tub Time Machine 2, the publication reports.

Time Traveling Bong airs April 20-22 at 10:30 p.m. on Comedy Central. Parts one and two will also re-air April 22 starting at 9:30 p.m., before the part three premiere.

The miniseries is executive produced and written by Glazer, Downs, and Lucia Aniello, who also directed, as well as executive produced by Dave Becky of 3 Arts Entertainment and Sam Reich.
