HBO on Wednesday released the first teaser for its new comic book adaptation, Watchmen.

The series is rooted in the DC comics world where superheros are viewed as outlaws; however, it’ll attempt to break new ground of its own, expanding the storyline, characters and overall universe from the beloved ‘80s graphic novels.

The spot opens with a masked figured—one of many—who sets the tone for the impending chaos the Watchmen will issue in the upcoming series.

“We are no one, we are everyone, and we are invisible,” he says, followed by his group of masked men chanting “tick tock” in the background.

Based on the graphic novel co-created and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, Watchmen is executive produced by Damon Lindelof.

The cast comprises Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Hong Chau, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison and Frances Fisher, among others. Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are creating original music for the series.

A release date was not announced; however, Watchmen will premiere this fall.
