Ahead of its Aug. 12 premiere, AMC has unveiled the first look for season two of its endearing modern fable set in Long Beach, Calif., Lodge 49.

The series stars Wyatt Russell as a disarmingly optimistic ex-surfer, Sean “Dud” Dudley, after the death of his father and the collapse of his business. In season two, as the Ancient and Benevolent Order of the Lynx suffers under new rule by an ill-suited leader, Dud “believes he is the key to restoring the Lodge to its former grandeur and putting the rightful king on the throne,” AMC says.

The network also unveiled three exuberant editions of this season’s key art:

Lodge 49 is created, written and executive produced by Jim Gavin, who executive produces alongside showrunner Peter Ocko. Additional executive producers include Paul Giamatti, Dan Carey and Jeff Freilich. Along with Russell, the series stars Brent Jennings, Sonya Cassidy, Linda Emond, Eric Allan Kramer and David Pasquesi.

Lodge 49 returns Aug. 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, after the debut of The Terror: Infamy.
