HBO has released the first trailer for a new Jude Law-fronted series, The Third Day.

Divided into two parts, the limited series centers on a secluded island paradise off the British coast. In part one, titled “Summer,” one man (Law) visits the island and discovers a group of inhabitants intent on preserving their home at any cost. Part two, “Winter,” follows a strong-willed outsider (Naomie Harris) who visits the island in search of answers, according to its logline.

The trailer features striking aerial shots of a winding road (that eventually becomes submerged in water, ending all chances of escaping the island), a potential romance for Law’s character, and his quick realization that there’s more than meets the eye.

The Third Day is co-written and executive produced by Dennis Kelly, who previously worked with Law on the 2014 thriller Black Sea. It’s directed by Marc Munden and Philippa Lowthorpe with Kit de Wall and Dean O’Loughlin serving as writers.

The Third Day premieres May 11 on HBO.
