AMC’s decision to split the final season of its acclaimed drama “Mad Men” into two in order to extend its hit property through 2015 was one of the wussiest moves in Hollywood in 2013, according to TheWrap.com.
After all, point out the editors, AMC already pulled the splitting stunt with “Mad Men,” last year. So why subject Don Draper & Co. to more “scheduling shenanigans,” the trade asked Friday.
“After it put AMC on the map as a destination for original dramas, it deserves better than a lingering, awkward goodbye,” they wrote.
